JP Wood Foundation

J.P. Wood Foundation, a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit located in Palatine, Illinois, was created to provide college scholarships to graduating high school seniors, and self defense seminars and martial arts classes for at risk or low income students.

1.  College scholarships are awarded to students who have demonstrated leadership, integrity, courtesy, and a commitment to obtaining a college education. These scholarships help these young men and women pursue this goal, and additionally rewards them for their hard work as a role model in the martial arts.  To date over $20,000.00 has been donated to graduating seniors.

Deadline for high school seniors to apply for the 2022-2023 scholarships will be June 2023.

2.  In the name of the foundation, martial arts tuition scholarships are granted yearly for at risk or low income students.

3.  Female self defense seminars are offered at low cost or no cost to community members.

JP Wood Foundation hosts various fundraisers throughout the year to support these efforts.  To find out more information, or to donate to this fund, contact John or Jan Wood at 847 / 705-8714.
